码头社区是码头镇的社区居委会，位于镇政府驻地西部的码头街，名称来自旧时的水运码头。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

20世纪初，这里是西溪边的水运码头：泉州方向的货船在此卸货，内地的货物也在此装船运往泉州。[1]

五十年代后河道变化，码头的水运功能随之消失，但地名保留了下来，社区居委会沿用此名。[1]

地理环境[edit]

社区居委会所在的聚落沿诗溪西岸的诗码公路两侧呈南北条状分布，东侧临西溪，向西可通金淘镇。[2]

人口与语言[edit]

社区里的住户多为汉族，平时用闽南语交流。区内设有一所初级中学和一座卫生院；居民大多靠手艺、做小生意或外出打工谋生。[2]
