民主村位于诗山镇西北部，东与坊前村相接，北与永春县接壤，是山区村。村中山泉汇成的溪流是诗山镇自来水的水源地之一。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立初，古坑洋、尾林仔等自然村协商组成乡政权，取名“民主”。1958年公社化时期设民主大队，1984年改称诗山镇民主村。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村子海拔648米，四面青山环抱，山泉汇成溪流，水质清澈，是供应诗山镇自来水的水源地之一。[1]
