前山村位于诗山镇中北部，村名取自前坑、后山两个保各一字。村内有侨乡的历史，村民很早便有南下东南亚谋生的。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期，前坑保和后山保归山头镇管辖。1949年，两保与五权保组成团结乡；公社化后的1958年，前山从团结乡分出，设为前山大队；1984年改称诗山镇前山村。[1]

文化[edit]

据博雅地名网，早在19世纪，村民就已南下印度尼西亚、马来西亚、新加坡、菲律宾等地谋生。[1]

据百度百科，前山村是革命老区基点村，20世纪30年代村中曾建立红军据点，并组织农会。[2]
