历史沿革[edit]
元、明、清三代，深垵属南安十三都，民国时称深垵保。新中国成立后，此地设深垵乡。公社化的1958年，此地另立深垵大队，直到1984年才改为深垵村委会。[1]
据称，先祖叶盘谷于公元1500年间自眉山乡高田村迁居于此，繁衍成村。[2]
文化[edit]
20世纪20年代初，村里创办了金海第一所完小甄陶中心小学，即叶飞将军的母校。[2][3]
名胜古迹[edit]
1955年，南安县政府在村中亭子埔修建烈士墓，1990年改建为烈士陵园。[2]
二战与土地革命期间，此地是「安南永」中心县委金淘区工委的驻地，多名村民参加革命，投入游击战与地下斗争。[2]
经济[edit]
2011年，村内组建了南安市大埠头中药材专业合作社，以种植中药材为业。[3]
