杏山村位于金淘镇西北，聚落分布在祈雨山脚，呈半月形。村名来自民国时期的杏山学校。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

民国年间，哨前、石境、埔美、厚趣四乡合办一所学堂，取名杏山学校，此后以杏山为保名。其后相继设乡、大队，1984年改设杏山村委会。[1]

2023年1月，杏山村上榜「2022年度南安市和谐村（社区）」名单。2024年1月，它被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村内聚落分布于祈雨山脚，下辖八个自然村，如埔美、石境、宫后、白露美等。[2]

经济[edit]

村中主产水稻与甘薯，林果有柑橘、龙眼与茶叶，特产草席。村内有小学一所，并设有医疗所与砖瓦厂。[2]
