历史沿革[edit]
莲坑原属南安十四都。新中国成立后，这里设过莲坑乡；1958年起为莲坑大队，1984年才称莲坑村并设村委会。[1]
2000年，该村被泉州市确定为新村建设试点村。2025年1月，它上榜「2024年度南安市和谐村（社区）」名单。[1][3]
地理环境[edit]
村域面积5.5平方千米，地形呈条状，村道与省道307线相接。[2]
经济[edit]
村中主要种植水稻、小麦与甘薯，林果有杉木、马尾松、龙眼与菠萝，草席也是村中特产。村内设有机织草席厂。[2]
