盖溪村位于金淘镇西南，村名取自贯穿境内的盖溪。村域为半山区，南与眉山乡接壤。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

元、明、清三代，盖溪属南安县十四都。民国时称盖溪保，1949年归莲坑乡。1958年才自立为盖溪大队，到1984年改为村委会。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村中溪流穿村而过，发源于朝天山。村域四周群山环绕，东侧挨着中心村，西侧接占石村，北面与东门村相邻。金眉公路横贯全境。[2][3]

村名取境内盖溪之名。博雅地名网记其由来为四面环山、形如伞盖，又有溪流经过。[1]

经济[edit]

村中以水稻为主要作物，菠萝种植面积达1000多亩，并种有食用菌。[2]

水利[edit]

境内有南海水库，库容180万立方米，是金淘镇最大的水利设施。[2]
