艺林村位于金淘镇南部，西与眉山乡相邻。村名由1929年创办的艺林学校而来，此前原名临漈。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

艺林原属泉州府南安县崇安里十四都的临漈乡，民国时为林漈保，1929年改称艺林保。1984年改设艺林村委会之前，先后有1958年设立的艺林大队，以及1956年组建的艺林农业社，而1949年时此地隶属和平乡。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村东与南金公路相接，西至天竺山与眉山乡为邻，南到南湖山下。[2]

经济[edit]

山地有4454亩，耕地约1200亩；主要作物为水稻、花生与甘薯，水果有龙眼、桃与李。[2]

文化[edit]

艺林村是陈步蟾的故乡。陈国仕（1851—1924）辑录《丰州集稿》十五卷，该书由厦门大学图书馆收藏。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

天竺山下有古刹报恩禅院，院内外存有宋代石槽。[2][3]
