晨光村位于金淘镇东南，处于四岭环抱的金淘盆地东侧，淘溪下游的小平原上。村名取“晨光”之意，寓示黎明破晓、光明在前。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村域此前属十三都，民国年间的保名是梧板。1949年后归和平乡所辖，1958年合入和平大队；到1965年才独立成为晨光大队，1984年改为晨光村委会。2024年1月，该村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]

地理环境[edit]

泉三高速、沈海高速复线与省道307线在村境内交汇，南金公路距村域很近。[2]

经济[edit]

村里以种植水稻、甘薯与花生为主，特产草席。果树有龙眼、荔枝与桃。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

村境内至今保留古代驿站遗址，并有宋代古寺塘源院。村中古道曾是东西南北往来的要道。[2]
