金淘镇位于南安市西北部，境内有朝天山与淘溪，镇名即取两者名称的首字。宋代属怀德乡，元明清时期分属南安县十三都至十五都；1988年由乡改设为镇。镇内的千金庙、金淘书院、叶飞故居与聚奎楼等文物古迹，分在金淘、占石、朵桥等村。[1][3]
历史沿革[edit]
唐代此地称山头社。宋代属怀德乡，所辖为清风里、崇安里与由风里。元、明、清三代分属南安县十三都、十四都与十五都。[2][1]
民国初年设金淘乡，其间一度分为深垵、金岭两乡。新中国成立后设第五区，1958年划归诗山五星公社，1963年设金淘区，1965年撤区，改设金淘公社。1972年，西部山区分出，另设眉山人民公社。[1]
1984年，金淘公社被改组为金淘乡；四年后的1988年，金淘乡改设为镇。[1][3]
2010年至2011年度的国家级生态乡镇称号，由环境保护部于2012年12月授予金淘镇。2020年12月，福建省爱卫办将金淘镇命名为福建省卫生乡镇。[1]
地理环境[edit]
境内有朝天山，旧称金刚山，淘溪自境内穿过，镇名的两个字即由此取得。[1]
省道307线贯穿全境。镇区规划面积约5.3平方千米，行政区域面积为104.04平方千米。[2][3]
人口民族[edit]
截至2019年末，全镇户籍人口有86746人。[3]
文化[edit]
镇内有侨光中学。境内民间有南音、戏曲，以及装阁踩街等习俗活动。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
千金庙位于金淘村，始建于五代后梁，最初是一处府宅，后改建为寺庙。现存建筑为清代重修。1998年，南安市政府将其列为市级文物保护单位。[7]
金淘书院在金淘村，由金淘书院与侨光学堂两部分组成，始建于清光绪元年（1875年）。省人民政府于2018年9月把它列为第九批省级文物保护单位。[8]
叶飞故居在占石村，为闽南传统民居，建于清中晚期。2018年9月，它被定为省级文物保护单位（第九批）。[5][6]
聚奎楼在朵桥村，是一座方形三合土楼，清康熙年间所建。博雅地名网记为康熙四十二年（1703年）。2005年5月11日，它被公布为第六批福建省文物保护单位。[9][10]
著名人物[edit]
叶飞（1914—1999），原名叶启亨，开国上将，祖籍南安市金淘镇，出生于菲律宾奎松省。[4]
