头梅村隶属翔云镇，位于镇政府驻地东北约9公里处，村委会设在林内，平均海拔160米。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
民国年间，头梅属金柄保；解放初隶属翔云乡。1956年由两个村合并，各取一字而得名头梅。1958年公社化后为头梅大队。[1][2]
1984年成为翔云乡下的头梅村委会；到1991年12月，改组为翔云镇头梅村委会。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村子东面与英都镇的西峰村相邻，地势平缓，全年无霜，平均温度20度。[1]
村委会设林内，聚落在观都山北麓的丘陵谷地，分布于5个自然村，设有13个村民小组。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
村民618户、2398人。全村山地5747亩，耕地1140亩。作物以水稻、甘薯、蔬菜和茶叶为主，林果有成片速生林、杂木和柑桔。[1]
村民中在全国各地经商的有1200多人，侨居海外的乡亲有5000多人。[1]
村中有电站1座、小学1所、卫生所1所，水泥路四通八达。[1]

村内三落的头梅革命旧址，始建于清乾隆末年。[3]
