历史沿革[edit]
村名原作“象运”，取自境内的象运山；宋代乡人见此山地势高耸入云，改雅称为翔云山，村名随山而定。[2]
村子原属二十八都，民国时相继设翔云乡与翔云保。1949年初仍归东田区管辖，1958年划归英都公社，1970年以后划归翔云公社。1984年的建制为翔云乡翔云村委会，1991年12月又成为翔云镇翔云村委会。[2]
村委会原设香山，1995年迁入一处套房，2001年搬到现址。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村委会设在溪湖，聚落在岩尖山北麓的山谷丘陵间，呈长方形分布。东面与金安村相接，西边隔着椒岭村，北面连着东山村，南边与云山村相邻。[1]
全村辖8个自然村，分为12个村民小组。[2]
人口与经济[edit]
山地1950亩，耕地846.5亩；水稻与甘薯是主要作物，林木有松木、杂果、水晶梨和枇杷。村民582户、2850人。[2]
村内设一家针织厂和一处卫生所，水库名为大深水库。每逢农历4、9日为农副产品集市日。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
龙须岩风景区位于村内，寺周围是与金安村共建的千亩果林示范基地。村中溪湖有一棵千年古樟。[1]
村中的孝子祠靠近翔云中心小学，是村民重视孝道的历史见证。龙须岩山上还有中共翔云区委龙须岩会议旧址。[1]
