桃园村位于东田镇政府驻地西南约6.5公里处，村委会设在宫尾，聚落分布在东田溪上游西岸的河谷间。[1][2]村子原名「桃源」，因境内有桃园庙而得名。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代属归善乡经善里；元明清三代归二十八都管辖，民国时则在东田乡之下，属新溪保。解放初为桃园乡；1958年办公社时，大队先以「桃源」命名。[2]后来与邻社撞名，1981年才改用桃园二字。1984年归东田乡，1991年改为东田镇桃园村委会。[2]

土特产有龙眼、柚柑、荔枝、茶叶和中药材。[2]
