盖凤村位于东田镇政府驻地南部约2.7公里，村子坐落在仙洞岭陈岭山麓一带的山谷里，村委会的驻地是新厝。[1]村子原名盖内，因盖内宫得名；民国时与凤巢联保，各取首字，改称盖凤。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

元明清三代，这里归南安二十八都所辖。民国时与凤巢合为联保，两村各取一字，就有了「盖凤」之名。解放后先设乡，名为盖凤乡；1958年转为大队，1984年随东田乡管辖，1991年东田设镇后改隶东田镇。[1]

物产与交通[edit]

村中以种植水稻和甘薯为主，新开垦了茶叶基地，土特产有龙须草和草席。[1]村内水泥路接通美洋村与南同公路。[1]
