蔡西村是福建省泉州市南安市仑苍镇下辖的行政村，位于镇驻地东南约2.5千米，北接联盟村，南邻东田镇。[1][2]

村域以丘陵与山间小盆地为主，境内有妙峰山。[1][2]

地理环境[edit]

大寨山与妙峰山位于村境，妙峰山海拔558米。[1][2]

村下辖13个自然村，设14个村民小组。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，清初蔡姓聚居于此；东、南、北三侧都有山岭，远看如三头狮子，故称「蔡狮」。[3]

中华人民共和国成立后更名妙峰乡，1956年又成高阳乡，1958年分出为蔡西大队。1984年划入仑苍乡，设蔡西村民委员会；1985年改属仑苍镇。[4]

名胜古迹[edit]

妙峰山石佛位于妙峰山麓，博雅地名网称其为宋代石雕弥陀佛像，山因此有「泉南佛国」之称。据百度百科，此佛像建于南宋淳熙年间，在福建现存立佛中年代最早、高度最高。政府网站把「妙峰山石佛岩」列为省级文物保护单位。[1][5][6]

同样建于明代的寮洋灵应堂也在村中。[1][2]

经济[edit]

经济以农业为主，村里利用丘陵地势发展龙眼种植，外出从事商品流通的人员较多。[1][2]
