垵后村位于省新镇西北部，距镇政府约4公里，地处石钟山南麓与石鼓山东侧之间的丘陵谷地。[1]村名因山间一处马鞍状的“垵”地而来，村中由九个自然村组成。[1][2]1999年1月，省新镇设立后，垵后村改属省新镇。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期属崇仁乡仁德保。新中国成立后归南厅乡，1958年划入美林公社南厅大队。1981年南厅大队分拆为五个村，其中之一后于1984年设立垵后村委会。1999年改属省新镇。[2]

人口与交通[edit]

村设13个村民小组，有村民398户、2320人。出入交通由乡村路连接至泉永公路。[1][3]

经济与土地[edit]

全村有耕地537亩。山地面积3761亩，经济林有423亩，商业林1010亩，另有1433亩列为生态公益林。种植以水稻、花生和甘薯为主，林果有松木、杉木和杨梅。1986年创办股份制金安综合场，种植龙眼、杨梅、枇杷等，面积559亩。[2]

村内有垵后小学、卫生所和丁洋水库。企业以消防器材、汽车运输、针织、塑料造粒和废品回收为主。[1][2]
