满山红村位于省新镇东北部，距镇政府驻地约5公里，东面与康美镇相接，西面与眉山乡交界，北面连着金淘镇。[1][2]村名取自境内小山坡上的杜鹃花，春天花开时漫山一片红色，1958年自立大队时定下此名。[1]村内有南安林氏民居（林路厝）等历史建筑。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

民国年间，此地属崇仁乡的鹏山保与后埔保。解放后划入开福乡；1958年设立美林公社满山红大队。1984年改设美林乡的村委会，1988年又隶属美林镇，1999年1月自美林镇拆出，归省新镇。[1][2]

行政区划与人口[edit]

博雅地名网作全村辖21个自然村，设村民小组29个，村民现有1435户、5866人，另有30多名畲族村民；百度百科作辖20个自然村，并记2008年村民数为1435户、6596人。两处的人数和自然村数不同，此处并记。[1][3]

名胜古迹[edit]

村中的林氏民居即林路厝，由华侨建筑家林路回乡设计兴建，清光绪三十四年（1908年）竣工，原占地6.5亩，共有房间99间。[2]百度百科将其列为第七批全国重点文物保护单位，于2013年3月5日公布；博雅地名网则称为福建省文物保护单位。[2][3]

文化[edit]

满山红村2020年2月列入福建省第三批省级传统村落名单，2019年12月被国家林业和草原局认定为第二批国家森林乡村，2022年10月获福建省农业农村厅认定为第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇。[1]
