霞西村地处南安市柳城街道驻地以东约6公里，属该街道的行政村。村委会在霞东大桥头一带，聚落临西溪北岸，与南安市江北大道相接。[1]
名称与历史沿革[edit]
村名取其所在方位。1979年，村从原大队中析出，设立霞西大队；1984年改为霞西村委会。该村为省级革命老区村。[1]
人口与村落[edit]
村辖11个自然村，分别是街仔口、秋公岭、渡船头、后路、三落、五柱、巡仁头、新部、大桥头新村、学堂后和宫边，设12个村民小组，共580户2328人。有耕地500亩，主要种植水稻、甘薯、花生和蔬菜。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2021年10月和2022年10月，村先后入选阿里研究院发布的「淘宝村」名单；2023年1月，村入选2022年度南安市「和谐村（社区）」名单。[1]
