历史沿革[edit]
社区旧名彭洋。民国时期由彭付保与霞美保合并而成，各取一字定名为彭美。[1][3]
1958年改为彭美大队，1984年改称彭美村委会，2003年改设社区居民委员会。[1][3]
地理环境[edit]
社区面积2.5平方千米，东邻柳湖、湖美社区，南接莲花水库旅游区与宣化开发区，北靠崎峰社区与白沙崎社区。[2]
文化[edit]
辖区内的武灵宫元帅府始建于清康熙年间，此后多次整修。[2]
20世纪30年代，中共地下工作者曾借办学作掩护，在此开展活动。[2]
1999年12月，社区居委会获南安市「创建省级卫生城市先进单位」称号。[2]
