霞茂村隶属福建省泉州市晋江市紫帽镇，为镇内的一个行政村，位于镇域西北部，北靠紫帽山体，南接紫星村[1][2]。村名原作“下墓”，后取谐音改为“霞茂”[1][2]。

历史沿革[edit]

明代，南安吴氏兄弟迁居此地。因村子下方多墓地，最初称作“下墓”，人丁兴旺后嫌其字义粗俗，遂改用谐音的雅名[2]。

村地原属南安县十三都，后于1961年并入紫帽山农场，成为霞茂大队；1984年设紫帽乡霞茂村，1992年成为紫帽镇霞茂村委会[2]。2007年，村子被市里选为第二批旧村改造新村示范村之一[2]。

人口民族[edit]

据百度百科，2021年村内户籍人口为597户、2150人，另有暂住人口400人[1]。

经济[edit]

村内设有汽配、陶瓷等行业的企业，其中包括国联汽配与宏达陶瓷[2]。

文化[edit]

霞茂村于2021年11月获福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」称号[2]。
