历史沿革[edit]
村名来自古时紫帽山洪冲刷而成的湖泊，湖形如盘，故称湖盘，又称玉盘[1][2]。后有外村乡民迁来拓荒，逐渐成村[2]。
民国33年（1944年）此地属梅溪乡紫园保，明清时期属三十二都[2]。1956年划入池店区紫湖乡；1959年归磁灶公社塘头大队管辖；1961年改属紫帽山农场湖盘大队[2]。1984年起为紫帽乡湖盘村委会，1992年撤乡建镇后改为紫帽镇湖盘村委会[2]。
地理环境[edit]
村子东南与清濛科技开发区相连，泉三高速公路南北向从村西穿过；村域内有以汽车配件为主的企业[2]。

村中有卓、林、陈、李、许五个姓氏，以卓、林两姓居多[2]。
文化[edit]
湖盘村于2024年1月被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」[2]。
