沪厝垵村位于英林镇西南端，西南面临沿海大通道，与柯坑村、湖尾村相接。村名先称“卢厝安”：古时卢厝氏最先在此开基，因居宅称“厝”，地处马山之安，故名；后谐音写作“沪厝安”，今称沪厝垵村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

元时属晋江县十一都，明、清仍属十一都。1944年（民国33年）隶英林镇伍坑保。建国后，先归东石区的廷都乡与东石公社的廷都大队，1961年改属英林公社的沪厝垵大队，1984年起称英林镇沪厝垵村委会。[1]
