柯坑村位于英林镇南部沿海地区，距镇区约4.2公里。村东临近嘉排村，西面连接锦江村，北面与龙西村相邻，属于革命老区基点村。[1]

此地在明、清两代隶属十一都，1944年（民国33年）归英林镇公所管辖，属伍坑保。[1]

村民的收入主要来自服装织造、布业和农业生产，村中有数家织造企业。[2]
