英林镇位于福建省泉州市晋江市南部沿海，北与龙湖镇相邻，南隔海与金门相望，西接永和镇和东石镇。镇名一说出自闽南话“乌蓝”（摇篮）的谐音，另据传明末郑成功部将洪天福曾在当地山林中抗清，乡人称其地为“英雄”，遂有“英林”之名。[1][2]

镇内以服装加工和矿石开采为两项主要行业，博雅地名网称英林有“闽南服装名镇”之称。[2][3]

2025年10月，《晋江经济报》的专题报道提到，英林镇已获得「全国生态乡镇」「中国休闲服装名镇」「全国泳装生产基地」和「福建省乡村振兴示范创建镇」等称号。[8]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代，英林一带属安仁乡幼善里。[1] 1942年设英林乡；解放初设第十一区，后改为第十八区，区址在英林村，1956年撤区并入金井第八区。[2] 1958年撤乡后，英林并入龙湖公社。1961年，东石、金井、龙湖三个公社各划出若干大队，共同组成英林人民公社。此后，1984年改称英林乡，1991年9月起为镇。[2]

经济[edit]

镇内有花岗岩矿，石料销往各地，也有部分出口。[2] 2019年，全镇有工业企业800家，规模以上的为93家；另有111处营业面积超过50平方米的综合商店或超市。[1]

博雅地名网还列有两项荣誉：2022年10月，英林镇经福建省农业农村厅认定，成为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」之一；2024年6月，英林镇入选「福建省第四批高级版绿盈乡镇」。[4]

名胜古迹[edit]

普尼堂在英林村金源综合市场后方，供奉保生大帝。庙宇起源于南宋，光绪十九年（1893年）曾经重修，留存的建筑属清代所建。每年农历三月十五保生大帝诞辰时，要举办大庙会。[7][2] 1999年6月15日，它被列为市级文物保护单位（第三批）。[6]

洪祖正故居位于英林镇埔顶寮村，为砖石结构的闽南民居，形制为五间张带二护厝。1947年11月至1948年1月间，中共泉州中心县委的干部扩大会议在此举行，会上学习了刘少奇在中共七大上所作的《关于修改党章的报告》，并重新划分了工作区域。此处即「中共泉州中心县委干部扩大会议旧址」。[5]
