社马路穿过村子，距沈海高速晋江南约5公里[1]。村内的6个自然村依次为新古厝、岐山、仑后下陈、仑后上陈、新菌边与垵内[1]。
2021年村情汇总表记载，全村设15个村民小组，共954户。男性2024人，女性1822人，合计总人口3846人；常住人口4346人，60岁及以上596人。外出流动人口500人，多数在垵内自然村，从事经商、开小超市和务工[1]。人口较多的姓氏为陈姓和蔡姓[1]。
