永和镇位于福建省泉州市晋江市的中南部，北面与罗山街道、新塘街道相接，西边连着安海镇和灵源街道，南面毗邻英林镇与东石镇[1][2]。这里是闽南的侨乡之一，历来以花岗岩石材为人所知，2003年曾被中国石材工业协会授予「石材之乡」荣誉称号[4][5]。

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，此地宋代已经开埠，清代起称作永和，名字取永结和好之意[4][5]。此后它的行政建制几经变化：1961年先组成人民公社，1984年改回乡一级并称永和乡，到1991年11月才改称永和镇[4]。

地理与人口[edit]

镇域面积一说为48.02平方千米，见于2026年的基础教育规划材料；2021年的镇情简介和博雅地名网则写作50平方公里，两者相差不小，此处以较新的数字为准[2][1][4]。全镇划为24个行政村[3]，另有63个自然村[1][2]。

2024年末户籍人口70105人，其中城镇5715人，乡村64390人；同年年末总户数为19264户[6]。2021年的镇情简介称全镇户籍人口约7.4万人，年份不同，以统计年鉴的数字为准[1]。该镇政府驻永和村[4]。

2021年的镇情简介另称，旅居海外的侨胞和港澳台同胞有四万多人[1]。

2021年的镇情简介说，永和位于晋江中部，东面离石狮约8公里，北面离晋江机场约16公里，西面到福泉厦高速入口约15公里，南面距深沪、金井的对台贸易码头约15公里；境内有数条市级主干公路，镇里自称是晋江中部的交通枢纽[1]。

镇域内蕴藏花岗岩，博雅地名网记载这里盛产石材，2003年5月获中国石材工业协会授予「石材之乡」；维基百科也称其为福建的石材之乡[4][5]。

2021年的镇情简介列出的传统产业有纺织服装、伞业和机械制造，支柱产业以鞋服纺织和绿色建材为主[1]。永和镇在2020年、2021年和2022年均列入淘宝镇名单[4]。

2026年的基础教育规划把全镇的初中分成三片：北片是季延中学英墩校区，中片是永和中学初中部，南片是南峰中学[2]。2021年的镇情简介还提到，玉溪小学在2020年度获评「全国青少年人工智能活动特色单位」[1]。

名胜古迹[edit]

古厝「奉旨迁界」崖刻为清代石刻，于2013年2月5日列入晋江市级文物保护单位（第三批），所在地为古厝村[5][4]。

杨成斋墓为明代古墓葬，2019年9月8日列入晋江市级文物保护单位（第六批），所在地为上宅村；据博雅地名网，墓建于明永乐年间[5][4]。
