历史沿革[edit]

宋代属安仁乡劝善里，明清属十四都，1944年属英林镇烧溪保。[2]

1959年归龙湖公社，1961年改属另一大队；1984年设村委会，1986年原村委会分为四个，溪前为其中之一，1991年改隶龙湖镇。[2]

人口民族[edit]

龙湖镇政府2021年公布的行政村信息载，村里常住1061人，党员35名。[1]

村中以洪氏为多，其裔分衍香港、澳门、台湾和菲律宾等地。[3]

经济[edit]

村里主要从事针织生产、纱线和小型服装加工，有规模以上企业福鑫纺织有限公司。[1]

村内现有耕地约100亩，主要种植玉米、花生、萝卜和番薯。[1]
