钞厝村位于龙湖镇西部，北靠阳溪，南至石厦村，由钞厝、山尾两个自然村组成。[1][2]

村名原为蔡厝，因“钞”“蔡”方言音近，后取寓意财源兴旺的“钞”字。[2]

地名由来[edit]

蔡氏最早在此开基，村名称蔡厝；后人希望村民日日见财、兴旺发达，便以方言谐音雅化为钞厝。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

明清属十七、十八都，1944年属至善乡福林保。[3]

1956年划入福林乡，1961年归龙湖公社，1982年另设钞厝生产大队，1984年改为钞厝村委会。[3]

革命历史[edit]

山尾村是老区基点村，解放前是我党地下活动比较活跃的革命基点。[2]

经济[edit]

村民过去大多会制作纸钱，改革开放前的收入主要来自这门手工艺。[3]

现在村里已有机械加工、印刷厂、电脑机绣等，多为小微企业。[3]

地理环境[edit]

村内有花岗岩矿产资源，耕地以旱地为主，主要农作物有甘薯、大小麦、大豆和花生。[2]
