洪溪村位于龙湖镇西部，距镇区约3公里，村北为洪溪水库，下辖1个自然村。[1][2][3]

村名来自村中的溪流：古时无水库拦挡，山洪冲下的溪水常呈红色，故称红溪，后谐为洪溪。[2][3]

地名由来[edit]

早年洪姓依溪而居，村名由此而来；后施姓迁入，洪姓渐衰，施姓成为村中大姓，仍沿用洪溪之名。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

明清属十七、十八都，1944年属至善乡屏南保。[2][3]

1956年划入福林乡，1961年归龙湖公社，1984年设洪溪村委会，1991年改隶龙湖镇。[2][3]

人口民族[edit]

龙湖镇政府2021年公布的行政村信息载，村里有党员34名，村“两委”成员8人。[1]

旅居海外的侨亲有两千多人。[3]

经济[edit]

村内有化工、化纤、彩印、五金、制衣等企业，规模以上企业有南星化工、盛欣纤维制品和新鸿春喷胶棉等。[1][3]

荣誉[edit]

2005年，洪溪村被泉州市授予「宽裕型小康村」称号；2006年被评为「晋江市五个好先进党组织」；2007年3月被评为「2004—2006年度晋江市文明村」。[3]

教育[edit]

村里的强民小学办学六十余年，学校占地约1.7万平方米，有三幢教学楼，2005年以来多次获评泉州市绿色学校、示范小学等称号。[3]
