地名由来[edit]
开基始祖择居此地时，正值黄昏，夕阳映照满天霞光，因此取名夕霞村。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
宋代属安仁乡弦歌里，明清属十七、十八都，1944年属至善乡石厦保。[2]
1956年划入福林乡，1961年设龙湖公社石厦大队，1984年设龙湖乡石厦村委会，1991年改隶龙湖镇。[2]
经济[edit]
村里早年以农耕为主，兼采花岗石，后来兴办螺丝厂、塑料厂等加工厂。[3]
辖区内的规模企业包括万华无纺布实业公司、亿泰隆化纤制造公司等，主要产业为纺织化纤。[1]
荣誉[edit]
1999年，村庄获晋江市委、市政府授予「实现宽裕型小康村」称号；2004年又获「2002—2003年度文明村」称号。[3]
教育[edit]
光夏学校历史悠久，现已发展成拥有近600名师生的完全小学，被晋江市教委评为「晋江市文明学校」。[3]
1996年，旅菲侨胞施议程倡议募捐，一年内建成了晋江市龙侨中学，惠及近邑八乡的学子。[3]
名胜古迹[edit]
村东的惠济桥跨霞溪，由旅菲侨胞、爱国烈士施学齿祖孙三代五次捐资修建。[3]
村中的保安堂又称阎君公宫，矗立于村东北，香火远及四方。[3]
石厦四堡都建有宗祠，村内有玄武山，登山可望大海与龙湖。[3]
