地名由来[edit]
许氏最早在此开基，村子又临龙湖，故称许湖；后来许姓外迁，村名就随方言读音改为古湖。[2]
人口民族[edit]
许氏已经迁出，如今村中只剩吴姓一族，其后裔分衍香港、澳门、台湾和菲律宾等地。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
宋代属安仁乡弦歌里，元明清属晋江县十七、十八都，1944年属至善乡南湖保。[2]
1961年设龙湖公社古湖大队，1984年改设龙湖乡古湖村委会，1991年村委会改隶龙湖镇。[2]
经济[edit]
龙湖镇政府2021年公布的行政村信息载，村里常住1071人，外来人口1600人。[1]
村里主要产业为纺织服装和拉链织造，多为小微企业，没有规模以上企业。[1]
