后宅村在龙湖镇镇区之内，东面距深沪湾古森林遗址约3公里，西面临国道308线；辖1个自然村，全村有3个村民小组。[1][3]

后宅是古地名，因此处宅居位于阳溪之后而得名。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时属十七、十八都，1944年属霞坡乡前港保。[2]

1956年划入湖北乡；1961年归龙湖公社管辖；1985年另设后宅村委会，1991年改隶龙湖镇。[2]

人口民族[edit]

龙湖镇政府2021年公布的行政村信息载，村里常住799人。[1]

文化教育[edit]

解放前，村中已有私塾“厚泽学堂”；20世纪70年代，旅菲侨胞施教敏创办了厚泽小学，1998年厚泽小学并入尊道小学。[3]

名胜古迹[edit]

典公陵园是前港始祖的墓园，建在后宅村西北的青石山上；1996年，旅菲前港侨胞出资兴建了它。[4]

1989年4月，晋江市人民政府把陵园公布为文物保护单位。[4]
