枫林村位于龙湖镇中山街西侧，南面与锡坑村接壤，泉州至围头的公路和龙湖至英林的公路穿村而过。[2][3]

村名来自村西北原有的枫树与椿树混生的林子，可以挡住冬季的西北风。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

明清属十七、十八都，1944年属至善乡南湖保。[2]

1956年划入湖北乡；1961年归龙湖公社管辖；1985年另设枫林村委会，1991年改隶龙湖镇。[2]

人口民族[edit]

龙湖镇政府2021年公布的行政村信息载，村里常住469人，外来人口6046人。[1]

经济[edit]

枫林村是拉链专业村，村中有百宏、百凯等集团，拉链制造企业有30多家。[1][3]

据博雅地名网，村中的枫林小商品街是福建省规模最大的拉链成品与配件专业街。[3]
