内山尾村位于内坑镇东南，依偎灵源山东南麓的丘陵地带，距镇政府驻地约六公里。村辖内山尾、洋内两个自然村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

相传此地形似莲花，故称莲山；后有林姓在山尾一带建居，称为莲山尾，雅称莲山美。新中国成立后设区、乡、村时，取莲山美的方言谐音定村名为内山尾。[1]

宋代属开建乡仁孝里，明清属六都；民国三十三年（1944年）归亲民乡梅岭保管辖。建国后，1956年隶属内坑区黎山乡，1961年起由内坑公社统辖，1982年自成内山大队。1984年起由乡统辖，1992年起由镇统辖。[1]

文化[edit]

2020年9月、2021年10月和2022年10月，本村先后被列入淘宝村名单；2022年12月，本村获「2022年福建省卫生村」称号，由福建省爱国卫生运动委员会命名。[1]
