历史沿革[edit]
一说，此地原有驿站，属洪山地域，村中几个姓氏先祖的墓碑上刻有洪山之名。另一说，村前小山的土层呈红色，称红山仔头，洪与红谐音，遂称前洪。又有一说，早先为洪姓开基并建有宗祠，后洪姓衰落外迁，其他姓氏迁入，为纪念洪姓先人，仍取名前洪。[1][2]
据博雅地名网，本村设立于南宋时期。明清属四都，1944年归亲民乡双洪保管辖。新中国成立后，1956年隶属内坑区内坑乡，1959年归安海公社内坑大队；1961年起由内坑公社统辖，设前洪大队。1984年起由乡统辖，1992年起由镇统辖。[1][2]
文化[edit]
本村于2022年10月经福建省农业农村厅认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」；2022年12月，本村获「2022年福建省卫生村」称号，由福建省爱国卫生运动委员会命名。[1]
