古山村在内坑镇的镇区一带，原为镇政府旧驻地，距现今镇政府新驻地约2公里。村名来自村中的古山宫。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

古山原是一片地方的名称。相传宋代许氏在熊山西麓的小山坡上开荒垦殖，此山因此称为许山。后有曾、雷两姓相继迁入，于许山合建一座宫庙，因许、古方言谐音而称古山宫，村落随宫得名古山。[1]

明清时属六都，民国三十三年归亲民乡熊峰保管辖。新中国成立后，1956年并入内坑镇，1959年隶属安海公社的内坑大队；1961年起由内坑公社统辖，设古山大队。1984年起由乡统辖。[1]
