潘厝村位于内坑镇西南，内坑至官桥的公路穿村而过。村名取自所辖的潘厝自然村，相传唐宋时期潘姓迁入建居。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
相传唐宋时期潘姓迁来此地建居，村以潘姓得名潘厝。后有李姓人家娶潘厝女为妻，其后裔迁入并逐渐繁衍，潘姓却渐渐衰落消失，村名仍沿用潘厝。[1]
明清时属四都，民国三十三年归双洪保管辖。新中国成立后，一度隶属内坑乡与安海公社，之后归内坑公社的潘厝大队。1984年起由乡统辖，1992年起由镇统辖。[1]
经济[edit]
村内以农业为主，农作物有水稻、甘薯、花生、糖蔗和龙眼；工业以钢结构为主导产业，另有瓷砖厂、板材厂。[1]
