柑市村在内坑镇东北部，距镇政府约1公里，东北与磁灶镇官田村相邻。村委会以所辖的柑市自然村得名，该地唐宋时即盛产柑桔，与内坑齐名，是饮誉海内外的果林区。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村名的来历是：此处原为苏氏卜居之地，称苏厝；明万历年间，林文迈迁居于此，在山坡广植柑桔，又开店铺售卖，店铺因销售红桔而俗称红桔店。柑桔收获季节生意兴隆，村遂得名柑市。[1]
宋代属开建乡务本里，明清属四都。民国三十一年曾归内坑镇辖，此后改隶亲民乡锦霞保。新中国成立后，先后归第九区、内坑区锦和乡管辖；1961年起由内坑公社统辖，设柑市大队。1984年起由乡统辖，1992年起由镇统辖。[1]
