潘湖村位于池店镇中部，国道324复线（池紫公路）从村北穿过。全村面积约1平方公里，水田870余亩。[3]村内只有潘湖一个自然村，共22个村民小组。[3]村名因潘氏最早在湖畔开基而得。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村地形成于隋末唐初，最初隶南安县，711年后划归晋江县。[2]元明时属三十五都，清代属溪南社。[2]1944年划入梅溪乡春湖保。建国后隶属变化较多：1956年归池店区紫湖乡，1961年至1988年由池店公社管辖，2000年起隶池店镇。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

潘湖佛教造像塔位于村中路南区，建于清代，平面为四角形，由塔基、塔身和塔刹三部分组成。[1]

荣誉[edit]

潘湖村于2024年1月被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]该村在2020年和2022年两次入选淘宝村名单。[1]
