池店镇位于福建省泉州市晋江市北部，地处晋江下游南岸，与泉州市区相邻，全镇辖一个社区和二十四个行政村。[1][2]唐宋时镇域曾名石，元代改称凤池。镇名“池店”的来历，博雅地名网记有两说：一说为明宣德年间乡人在湖边设店经营，一说为明末清初乡中富商李五在凤池旁设店。[5]镇内有溜石塔、御赐桥、庆莲寺等古迹，经济以运动体育和房地产两大产业为支柱。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代，今池店一带分属永宁乡、凤里、沙塘里和晋江乡兴贤里等辖区。[6]明清时期，各村分别隶属晋江县的不同都里，沿革见各村条目。[5]

建国初期池店隶涵坂乡；1958年起归苏厝公社管辖；1961年设池店公社；1984年恢复为乡，1991年改设为镇。[5]

地理环境[edit]

镇域面积24平方千米，位于晋江下游南岸，九十九溪流经镇域，国道324线、306省道和福厦高速公路穿境而过。[1][5]

人口与经济[edit]

2021年的镇概况称，户籍人口约9万人，常住人口约27万人，另有海外华侨、港澳台同胞5万多人。[1]全镇有企业3923家，其中规模以上工业企业81家。[1]

著名人物[edit]

镇概况提到的人物包括唐代进士欧阳詹、明代慈善家李五、现代音乐家李焕之。[1]另有清代状元吴鲁，镇概况将其列为福建最后一位状元。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

镇内古迹包括溜石塔、御赐桥、庆莲寺，并有李五与吴鲁的故居，李五故居另设纪念馆。[1]2019年，晋江市公布第六批市级文物保护单位，本镇的御辇曾氏祠堂、池店埕头林氏宗祠和清濛青龙寺列入其中。[3]第四次全国文物普查又登记了一批未定级的不可移动文物，分布在多个村内，见各村条目。[4]
