埔宅村位于金井镇东北约3.5公里处，在塔山北侧，村域内有埔宅、清沟、山尾、顶房寮、竹围、莲厝等6个自然村[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
村子原名布泽村。据说杨姓居民以家训中「布施恩泽」之语为地名，民国初年改称埔宅，因居所建在山坡之上，沿用至今[2]。
明清时归十五都管辖，民国33年（1944年）编入金市保。1956年隶属金井区埔坑乡，1959年划入金井公社的埔宅大队，1984年起称金井镇埔宅村委会[2]。
经济[edit]
村中种植甘薯、花生和蔬菜，并多种木麻黄作防风林，村中有家庭式服装加工厂和纸箱厂[2]。
