金井村位于金井镇区，是金井镇人民政府的所在地，由金井、下丙两个自然村组成[1]。村名沿用金井这一历史地名[2]。

历史沿革[edit]

明清时归十四都。民国33年（1944年）编入金井镇金市保，1956年划入金井区的金井镇，1961年归金井公社管为金井大队，1984年起称金井镇金井村委会[2]。

文化[edit]

下丙自然村的天上圣母妈祖仙驾，2007年经晋江市政府批准列为第四批文物保护对象[2]。据传，明正德七年（1512年）一艘货船在湄洲海面遇风，妈祖显灵护送船只回到下丙，乡人遂建宫奉祀[2]。
