华海村位于深沪湾南端，东边是坑边村，西边紧挨华峰村，南边与金井镇相接，北面临海底古森林，全村总面积3.5平方千米。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

早先此地称沙岗内海尾寮，地界分属华峰、华山两村。为便于管理，从两村析出，取两村的「华」字，又取濒临深沪湾的「海」字，定名华海。此后寮内一带因此被统称「五华」。[1]

2019至2020年间，村获评省级乡村振兴试点村，并获省级乡村治理试点示范。[3]

地理环境[edit]

村域内耕地1089亩、林地1.2平方千米。[1]

人口民族[edit]

村下辖19个自然村，划分为17个村民小组，共有841户、3051人，旅居海外的华侨及港澳台同胞2000余人。[1]

2021年2月，村入选「福建省2018—2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单；同年11月，村获「2021年福建省卫生村」称号；同年12月，村入选第二批福建省高级版「绿盈乡村」。2024年1月，村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」；2024年2月，村获确定为「第二批福建省乡村振兴示范村镇」创建对象。[1]
