地名由来[edit]
“洋”有多、平坦之意，“埭”指以土堰水、堆筑堤岸。村址原为平坦的围垦之地，因而得名洋埭。[2]
据民间传说，陈洪进（五代南唐时的平海军节度使）曾派兵沿晋江下游南岸筑堤屯田，开辟陈埭、苏埭、洋埭三埭。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
宋绍兴六年（1136年），地方人士请求知县兴修浦埭水利，工程完成后设塘司和徒首管理。1949年9月，洋埭解放，随后成立龙岱农会。1951年设龙岱乡政府，同年推行土地改革。1958年，洋埭、涵埭、下村、庵上、海尾、仙石等六村合并为团结大队。[2]
经济与教育[edit]
村中乡镇企业起步较早，建有刘浦、定兴两个工业区。辖区内有泉州市示范小学龙林中心小学。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
洋埭林氏宗祠，又名「翰林学士添福公祠」，在华林路，始建于明正德十二年（1517年），嘉靖四年（1525年）竣工，为明代宫殿式大五间二进土木结构，为漳州、泉州及本地林氏共同祭祀的祠堂。文革期间遭毁坏，1981年海内外后裔修复。2007年，它被列入晋江市第四批市级文物保护单位。[3]
荣誉[edit]
2020年和2022年，洋埭村两次列入淘宝村名单。2022年10月，洋埭村被福建省农业农村厅认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]
