涵埭村是陈埭镇的行政村，位于晋东平原，村子东靠泉州湾，西侧与横坂村毗连，南面挨着霞村，北边以洋埭村为邻。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村名涵埭，取义于涵江水注入海边的堤埭。此地曾与洋埭合称洋埭，因此有“洋埭林”“洋埭李”的说法。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期属二十九都。1956年归池店区洋埭乡，1958年与洋埭、下村、庵上、海尾、仙石等村合编为团结大队。此后与霞村合并，组成涵埭大队；1961年起由陈埭公社管理，1984年设陈埭镇涵埭村委会。[1][2]

教育[edit]

涵埭小学原名启光小学，上世纪40年代创办，1973年复办。2002年，晋江市教育委员会认定其为「晋江市二级达标小学」。[2]

人口与产业[edit]

截至2010年，村有670户，人口约2700人，划分为17个居民小组。村内鞋业、服装、模具配件等行业已初具规模。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2020年至2022年间，涵埭村三次列入淘宝村名单。2021年6月，村庄被命名为「2020年度晋江市平安村（社区）」。[1]
