地名由来[edit]
陈埭未围垦时是海滨浅滩，围垦成埭后，蛏土被堆成坡地，村子在西面，故称西坂。[2]
迁入与历史沿革[edit]
村中居民多由岸兜和村下头迁入。明清时期属二十七都。1956年划入池店区陈埭乡，此后归苏厝公社陈埭大队，1961年改属陈埭公社西坂大队，1984年改为陈埭镇西坂村委会。[2]
产业与物产[edit]
村中历来产蛏苗，销往各地。工业以制鞋服为主，另有海绵、电脑绣花、模具等厂家。[2]
庙宇与学校[edit]
村内有西坂宫、三夫人妈庙、土地公宫等庙宇。村里另设有外来人员务工子弟学校一所。[2]
