历史沿革[edit]
村子原名坂尾，因处在三条山坡的末端、山脉龙脉由西向东的尽头，故称坂尾。后人以方言谐音雅化，改称锦美[1]。明清两代归二都。民国三十三年（1944年）编入碧山乡的仙宾保。1956年并入内坑区；1961年改隶磁灶公社五龙大队；1984年，磁灶镇设立锦美村委会[1]。
地理环境[edit]
村辖锦美、下五龙两个自然村，村委会设在锦美。双龙路穿过村域，福厦高速晋江牛山出入口距村约2公里[2]。
经济[edit]
耕地共372亩，水田占55亩；村民生计以农业为主，种水稻、甘薯和花生[1]。
人口民族[edit]
村中以庄姓、张姓为主[2]。
文化[edit]
锦美自然村供奉护境祖师爷，香期在农历六月二十二；下五龙自然村供奉七王爷，香期在农历六月十三[2]。
