五龙村在磁灶镇东部，距镇政府约7公里。村子位于沈海高速晋江出口的南侧，东邻西园街道苏塘社区，西接锦美村[2][3]。

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历：村子周围有五座小丘陵，俗称五陵；「陵」与「龙」方言同音，于是称五龙。村前原有一座旧桥名为嘉福桥，村子也因此又称嘉福村[2]。

这里在明清时期归二都管辖，1944年民国时期改入碧山乡云岫保。新中国成立后，1956年并入内坑区，1961年成为磁灶公社的五龙大队，1984年才设立磁灶镇五龙村委会[2]。

地理环境[edit]

村辖加福、五龙两个自然村，两村约在三百年前由同一族派分出[1][2]。双内公路穿过村子，沈海高速晋江出口就在村旁[2]。

人口民族[edit]

明代人物张登岗是加福一脉的后裔[2]。

荣誉[edit]

2007年和2008年，五龙村连续两年被评为磁灶镇「清洁家园」示范村[2]。
