张林村在磁灶镇南部，距镇政府约3.4公里，距晋江市区约6.5公里。村子周围有小山环绕，丘陵起伏[1][2][3]。

历史沿革[edit]

明清两代属三都。民国三十三年（1944年）归碧山乡云岫保管辖；1956年并入内坑区；1961年改为磁灶公社下的一个大队；1984年成为磁灶镇下属的村委会[2]。

地理环境[edit]

村域分顶库与下库两处聚落，其下再分为五片：儒东、儒南、儒西、儒北、儒中[2][3]。

人口民族[edit]

村中以张姓为主[3]。

姓氏宗族[edit]

村中张氏家庙的堂号是「儒林」，村子因此俗称儒林，张氏也被称作儒林张氏[2]。

文化[edit]

五个片区各有庙宇。其中儒南的关帝君庙和儒西的天后宫较大，香期分别在农历五月十三、八月二十三和三月二十三[3]。
