历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历是：村庄所在的山坡与镇西面的狮山（西山）相对，东西相望，因而称东山[1]。

人口民族[edit]

村中以张姓、王姓为多[2]。

文化[edit]

村内有保生大帝、观音菩萨和城王庙等三座庙宇。东山和龙林两个自然村各有一座福主庙，供奉保生大帝，东山的香期在农历三月十五，龙林的香期在十月初一[2]。

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，东山村获「2021年福建省卫生村」的称号[1]。2023年2月，东山村入选福建省第三批「高级版绿盈乡村」名单[1]。
